Reza Shahabi was arrested in June 2010 for his trade union activities. The Islamic Revolutionary Court falsely charged him with “Propaganda against the State” and “acting against national security” in April 2012, and convicted him to 6 years imprisonment and banned him for 5 years from all trade union activities. The Islamic Revolutionary Court has returned Reza Shahabi to prison with the charge that part of Shahabi’s medical leave was not agreed upon. Shahabi went on hunger …

Dear Comrades, The authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran are putting pressure on Reza Shahabi, a board member of the Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company, to present himself to Evin prison authorities. Reza Shahabi was arrested in June 2010 for his trade union activities. The Islamic Revolutionary Court falsely charged him with “Propaganda against the State” and “acting against national security” in April 2012, and convicted him to 6 years imprisonment and banned him for 5 years from all trade union activities. Reza Shahabi was harshly mistreated by the prison authorities. During his arrest and interrogation, he was badly beaten and put in solitary confinement for many months. As a result, Reza Shahabi’s state of health quickly deteriorated in prison and he developed neck and back pains and numbness in his leg and hand. Wir bekunden unsere Solidarität mit den Opfern, ihren Familien und Freunden. Es ist klar, dass diese Attentate das Ziel hatten, so viel Opfer wie möglich zu kosten und dass diese Opfer Frauen, Männer und Jugendliche aus dem Volk sind. The barbaric terrorist actions in Paris that resulted in the death of more than 120 innocent individuals are the natural product of imperialist policies. No one is born to be a terrorist, nor is terrorism accidental or an attribute of a specific religion. Terrorism in the current world is the product of bullying and plundering by particularly the Western imperialist countries. These imperialist powers destroy purposefully the world security by continuously violating the international laws and regulations that suppose to protect and guarantee the immunity and security of the people.
